Message-ID: <13762.2837d84f@ecs.umass.edu> Date: 20 May 91 14:08:15 GMT Lines: 22 Ok, here is one for the hardware hackers: I have a mac plus, and would like to buy a 16mhz 68010 (or, if this doesnt do, a 16mhz 68000) and get rid of the DIV 2 on my clock, boosting my machine to 16mhz. besides the cpu and the clock, what else would i have to change? can the rest of the motherboard logic take 16mhz? will the serial ports, and scsi timing be shot to hell, or will the chips frazz out? any other problems/ideas?? Anyone else wanna try?? this sounds like the easiest way to get some more bang out of a plus/SE/classic I will try to post a compilation of replies, but, my news access may fade with the ending of the semester craig hagan hagan@ecs.umass.edu hagan@saturn.ucc.umass.edu
