Apple has been running full-page ads in the Wall Street Journal on how an LC "eats" a 386SX "for lunch" when running as a file server. (Apparantly, it's about 50% faster at about the same price.) I think Apple has already "dropped it prices" just by introducing the LC. A bare LC CPU (w/ 2 Mb) sells for $1499 at Computer Era in NYC. A bare Classic (w/ 1 Mb) is $799.
