I started up my Mac SE the other day and got a sad mac with this numbers:
00000004
0000FF00

What does it mean?

Recently, I upgraded to 4 meg. The problems are intermittent. I turned
off the Mac after I got the sad mac and it booted fine. Occasionally,
the mouse cursor locks up and I have to reboot.
