There is also a program called AutoMac that comes with Work 4.0 (or was it
WordPerfect) I'm pretty sure the former.

I for one like the spiral books.  You can lay them flat on your desk and open
and the pages don't turn on you while working on a involved procedure. 
Hardback books you have to bend backwards first so they lay open, this usually
breaks the spine.>
