Lines: 14 Nntp-Posting-Host: prism.cs.orst.edu I have a friend that wishes to upgrade his SE/30 system to color. He would prefer 24bit, but that is only because he doesn't want to ever have to upgrade his system again. I think 8 bit would be perfectly adequate for what he wants. (i.e. playing color games. Although he also is thinking about getting into desktop publishing on the side) What I want is recommendations/warnings from people who have done a similar upgrade. He is looking at MacLand's 8bit color system for $799 which is a Magnavox 14" and a Micron Exceed card (I believe), but nothing is concrete and who knows, he may go out at buy a 24bit 21" color system just because its there. Dont you hate people that do that(or at least people who can afford to do that? 8-). Steve hasses@prism.cs.orst.edu
