I just spoke with somebody at LaCie tech support who said: 5.27 (which I have) works with system 7 in 24 bit mode (so no 32-bit addressing, and no virtual memory). I didn't ask about earlier versions! 5.28 works fine with 32-bit addressing and virtual memory (!), EXCEPT THAT it has a bug which causes trouble if you try to password-protect the boot volume. 5.30 (not yet available) will correct that bug, and so be fully system-7 compatible.
