The official line from the Marketing people at Apple Canada is that
dealers CAN'T make copies for free.

However, the senior Systems Engineering guy at Apple Canada told us on
Tuesday that this whole affair was a bunch of BS and that we *COULD* copy
the system.

When we told this to the marketing folks, they freaked out.  This was 2
days ago and we *STILL* don't know what the truth is.

I'll be sure to inform the Net when the official work is out ON PAPER (i.e.
a document that states an official policy change and/or a change in
the legal questions regarding system software distribution).  As of May 18th,
we will haven't heard a thing from Apple Canada that can truely be called
credible.

We still haven't gotten our "real" 7.0's yet.  I was given a copy by
Apple Canada (technically illegal, I was told) in the mean time (after
lots of bitching) but I can't give it to anyone before the dust settles.
