A friend of mine has a Mac Plus with 4 Mb RAM and (unfortunately) a Jasmine
Direct Drive 70.  After installing System 7 the machine begins to boot,
the 'rebuilding desktop for new system' dialogue comes on and the 
machine freezes.  I used the same install disks on my drive and they are
fine.  We tried rebuilding the desktop and checking the drive with
Norton Disk Doctor, but to no avail.

I suspect the formatter software for the Jasmine is incompatible.  Does
anyone know of a Sys7-clean formatter which would work on that drive?
