I've had this problem too. Exactly one frame of the watch cursor gets turned into garbage. This is on an SE/30, System 7.0 Golden, 2MB Ram, 1MB Virtual, and some of the usual INITs. So far the problem has only occurred when I have recently been using Microsoft Word 4.00C, which may be the culprit.
