I'm presently playing with various printcap entries. I was able to lpr files but it seems to get confused after the first file and forgets about page breaks and simply attaches file2 to file3 etc etc. I was able , via escape codes, to get the duplex mode to work ok. Also was able to make the PostScript mode to work with PostScript files as long as I *MANUALLY* set up in PostScript from the front panel. NOTE: Duplex mode has the same problem as simplex on the files being appended to each other but did work from software (escape codes etc ) So far, I have not been able to software switch between PCL and PostScript. What does "ROBUST" mean for a handshake option? I've been using XonXoff. I am using a Sun SS1 with 4.1.1 and ttyb to drive this. Does *ANYBODY* out there have any experience with this printer and/or could offer any comments / suggestions etc. *ANY* comments / suggestions would be *MOST* welcome. Any printcap files available ? Is 19200 baud the upper limit for the SS1 ? Thanks in advance. Bob Shaw bshaw@hcvdl.vdl.ti.com
