CPIO/TAR routines Message-ID: <9105221444.AA01457@cwns10.INS.CWRU.Edu> Date: 22 May 91 14:44:09 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Reply-To: ak698@cleveland.Freenet.Edu Lines: 17 Hello Everyone: I am working on curses-based Cpio/Tar Backup utility for magnetic tapes. With my own program, it works fine with tapes and disks. I created a file on tape but Unix Tar/Cpio can't read them and realize that hard error occurs and they can read on disks only well. So should I use mt routines to control magnetic tapes that make unix tar/cpio can read well? If so, I will appericate that.
