Microport and Interactive both offer "trade-in" upgrades on current
releases of their Unices.  For example, you can upgrade to uPort's
V.4 for about $700 when you trade in your old '286 distribution diskette;
upgrading to uPort's V.3.2 is even less expensive.  ISC offers just
about the same trade-in price on V.3.2, although I don't know what they'll
do when they release their V.4 in the next few weeks.

I have for sale Microport's '286 UNIX--System V/AT, Release 2.4.  Buy
it cheap and use it to upgrade to the current release.  (Or, use it:
it's the full runtime, software development, and text processing package.)
