I hope to avoid spending too much money, and would be grateful for any recommendations. Also, if you have such a compiler that you no longer need, make me an offer. I do not need speed or convenience features, but I would like to have a compiler that can handle all the COBOL syntax. A compiler that handles IBM Mainframe extensions/aberations as well as COBOL-II features would be ideal, but I would settle for ANSI standard. I do not want to do development work in COBOL, but need to check syntax and to compare the execution of ports of COBOL code into C++.
