I have a problem with rsh. Machine: DECstation 3100 OS: Ultrix 4.2 Beta Description: when superuser (or one or two of the other users), rsh works fine. However, from my personal login, rsh machine command returns: rcmd: socket: Permission denied My first thought was that protections were set up wrong. However, it does work for other non-super-users. Also, rsh machine will give me a shell on the remote machine with no problems. Any suggestions? ----------------------------------|++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ | "He divines remedies against injuries; | "Words are drugs." | | he knows how to turn serious accidents | -Antero Alli | | to his own advantage; whatever does not | | | kill him makes him stronger." | "Culture is for bacteria." | | - Friedrich Nietzsche | - Christopher Hyatt | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
