I need to write a program that draws simple objects (lines, circles etc)
on a Canvas. I have been attempting this using a Painter. However, I can't
find the connection between the Painter and a Canvas.

Could someone give me some code that draws a line on a canvas using
a Painter. What am I doing wrong ?

I am using IV 2.6 with g++ under SunOS 4.1.1.
