The only way I can get things to make correctly is if I imake using the source tree: xmkmf /usr/X11R4/mit (/usr/X11R4/mit is my X11R4 source tree obviously) When you did "make install" at the top of your X source tree did it create a directory /usr/lib/X11/config containing all the .tmpl, .rules, and .cf files for imake? < Stephen MIT X Consortium
