Lines: 25 I'm in the process of compiling X11R4 on a Sparc 2. I found the changes mentioned in the FAQ, but I am still having difficulties. I have the following in my /usr/lib/X11/xdm/Xservers: :0 secure /usr/bin/X11/X And I get the following in xdm-errors when I start up /usr/bin/X11/xdm: Fatal server bug! no screens found XIO: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) on X server "(null)" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining. The connection was probably broken by a server shutdown or KillClient. Getting interface configuration: Operation not supported on socket sunOpenFrameBuffer: Inappropriate ioctl for device Any pointers of info would be greatly appreciated. I been through this process once with the DECstations we have and came out of it sucessfully. Thanks. -- Michael R.
