The person who is asked the question must decide but I have to tell you I really wonder about some of the people out there. I attend a word processing class and to catch the bus home I have to walk across a freeway over passand that actually means crossing an exit of the freeway. It sounds a little scary, but if you pay attention, it is really very safe. Last week, Venture and I were crossing the exit when this car came barelling at us. Venture jumped back the fool screamed around the corner and I thought "Oh wow!" I was certain I was in the right and proceeded on to the bus stop. However, a policeman happened to see what happened, and he stopped the car. I could hear them, and tried to keep a straight face. I was certain I was right, and I was delighted that the police saw him. You know how they're never around when you need them. This guy really rubbed the officer the wrong way. He didn't have his driver's license-- I am unsure that he even had one, but he didn't have it then. He had run out to pick up a sandwitch for his friend and he was going to be late for work. When the officer asked if he had seen me, he said that he had but that he was in a hurry and besides, it was just a blind person and they shouldn't be allowed to cross a busy intersection like that anyway. I didn't actually hear all this, the officer came over and asked me if I were all right. He wanted to know if maybe I thought I should see a doctor or maybe the dog should see a vet. The car did come very close to us, but we were both all right, and I was afraid he was going to keep me from catching the bus. Never mind that he inturrupted my using the BNS. I think that guy may have a lot of explaining to do to the judge. The officer got my name, and I had to submit written info. What a pain. When I left, the bus driver said there were three units at the scene, and the guy was yelling and screaming and his face was so red,she wondered if he might not have a stroke. I was glad to get out of there. * EZ 1.30 * -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!109!432!Diana.Dawne Internet: Diana.Dawne@f432.n109.z1.fidonet.org
