It writes a file `dead.article' with my posting, but my Xrn tells me all is well. Setup: *** /var/spool/news NFS-mounted from an RS/6000 running AIX 3.1 *** Cnews patchdate 24-Mar-1991 NNTP 1.5.11 Sun3-80, SunOS 4.1 Questions: (1) Does the NFS-mounted /var/spool prevent Cnews from figuring out how much disk space is *really* available? (2) The only immediate alternative for me is to split NEWSARTS across 2 partitions, but I know Cnews makes hard links, etc. Is this a bad idea? Thanks very much for any help you can give! -- Kenneth H. Cox Viewlogic Systems, Inc. kenc@viewlogic.com ..!{harvard,husc6}!viewlogic.com!kenc
