F-20 was a improved F-5, more advanced avionics, a radar and much more
thrust in the engine ( F-404 ).  F-20 was a purely export fighter.

The F-20 died because of this decision :  lets sell the F-16's on
export.  ( The Air Force wanted cheaper F-16's ).
