I have a need for an external modem that can send and receive FAXes but that wont cost me my 'first born' :-) (I can pick up a standalone with some of the basic features for about $400 US). What benefits are there about FAX modems vs. the regular machines? Has there been a write-up in some of the PC magazines lately (PC World, PC MAGAZINE, PC Week, etc.)? Any help would be greatly appreciated in this matter. -Bob- bangell@peruvian.utah.edu; bangell@cc.utah.edu; angellrl@cc.utah.edu - My opinions, not those of the University of Utah -
