Message-ID: Date: 23 May 91 14:24:46 GMT Organization: Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA Lines: 28 Perhaps my messag didn't make it through, but I'm aghast that not a single person has responded to my queries about undump. Certainly, I would have expected someone to say "READ THE FAQ" - to which I would reply: I already have. That's why I'm looking for help. I've got a psuedo-working version of undump and I need help figuring out why it doesn't work. My first query was to see if I had the wrong one. I actually got it from gatekeeper.dec.com:/pub/comp.sources.misc (I think - definitely gatekeeper, though). Anyway, Would someone please lend a guy a hand? I compiled 4.003 and tried using undump this way: undump ipb.exe perl core new-a.out a.out core The script is ipb - compiled with the -u switch to produce core. Last time it zapped my perl binary and dump the contents (at least, partially) into ipb.exe. In any case, NONE of my "undumped" cores have ever worked. :( ----------------------------------|++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ | "He divines remedies against injuries; | "Words are drugs." | | he knows how to turn serious accidents | -Antero Alli | | to his own advantage; whatever does not | | | kill him makes him stronger." | "Culture is for bacteria." | | - Friedrich Nietzsche | - Christopher Hyatt | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
