I'm an avid supporter of "Mavis Bacon Teaches Typing". It costs about $49.95. It uses awesome graphics, for example showing your hand and finger positions on the keys as you type, in addition to a game-like car race course event in which you type words. It displays statistics on how well you are doing using bar graphs, percentages, etc.
