I've got Neko for Windows and I can imagine my parents enjoying it, so it will probably make a good "comfort toy" for new OS/2 users (like Solitaire was). I'm surprised 2.0 will come with the same "applets" as Windows, though. I thought most of those were Microsoft-written programs.
