You can't get it at Radio Shack, but you can at an electronics supply place. The horizontal control is done by a non polar capacitor which when it goes out scrunches characters and generally stinks up the room. It took about 30 minutes to fix it total. I believe the component is a 7.6 uf non-polar capacitor. Advantages: Its about a 5 dollar part. Which is cheaper then a 7300. Disadvantages: You have to do some soldering and take the machine apart. The part can be located because the outer case of the capacitor will rotate freely and it's rather large, dark blue-gray, and smells strongly.
