Sure, they've given you an architecture to plug in slots to improve your machine, but then you are doing exactly what you used to abuse IBM's for, ie. "You can get a card too........". The 3000 is a great improvement, but having a CPU which is better than a graphics co-pro is stupid.... Will they improve.
