I seem to remember hearing that the Bundespost maintains rigid control over what gets connected to telephone lines. Is it true that one must rent/buy a modem from them? In other words, is it possible for me to take my modem with me and with the help of a AC adaptor (isn't it nice that AC isn't standardized worldwide) keep chugging? Thanks in advance, -john rosej@sbcs.sunysb.edu
