Absolutely false. We do it to our NCD's regularly. What is true, however, is that you must have your xhost list setup correctly (since the session manager likes to turn on access control and 'update' the access list), and you may have to prod your X terminal vendor to 'fix' their server to understand some subtle DEC things, (say, session management extensions, for instance :-) to allow the application to work. A little work with an Ethernet listener and/or xscope can shed an amazingly bright light :-). Doug
