I've got a ST277R-1 65 meg RLL as the first drive, and I'd like to make the NEC a RLL'd 32 meg drive (I know that's risky, but you only live once!). Failing that, I have an 8-bit MFM controller that I'd like to configure to coexist with my 16-bit RLL controller. My 8-bit controller requires some unusual specifications that I don't know, so I hope someone can help me. I need the starting reduced write current cylinder, write precompenstation cylinder, max correctable error burst length, and step rate. Thanks in advance, Patrick Draper ---- Michigan State University
