I have a (brand new) Librex 386SX laptop, and the dealer tells me that the 12V adapter will be available "Real Soon Now" (i.e. next month). I think the main problem is that most laptops want a bit more than 12V in, and the adapter would have to boost the voltage. There's no reason they shouldn't be able to do it (or me, for that matter) but I guess they don't think it's worth the bother.
