Word 4 does not allow "fractional widths" on the Imagewriter, which is what is
 needed with Truetype to get good letter spacing. There have been several
 "steath upgrades" to Word--if you call Microsoft, they will allegedly send
 you the fix free of charge. I think the rev. is up to around 4.0h now.

 There is also a patch floating around the net that will enable fractional
 widths in Word. Note that in 4.0 (?) you can turn on fractional widths via
 the menu, but it will not take effect when printing!
