Neither has, for example, Aldus with PageMaker 3.0x.  And no doubt they aren't excited about the idea of supporting their 3.0 under Apple's 7.0.  So, officially, the Aldus party line is "3.0 doesn't work, 4.0 is required, 4.01 is recommended."

However, my nickel says that 3.0 does indeed work just fine.  (I hope so.  I won't go to 4.0 until I get a machine that's significantly faster than my Plus.)
