Message-ID: <131678@unix.cis.pitt.edu> Date: 24 May 91 06:58:02 GMT Distribution: na Organization: University of Pittsburgh Lines: 12 Hi. I have two pieces of harware that would really like to meet each other: my 100 meg internal HD on my Mac II, and the never-used tape unit on my Silicon Graphics Personal Iris. Hooking this puppy up to my Mac would be a HD-backup Godsend. What I'm wondering is, is this possible? The tape unit is a SCSI device, and the only name that I've been able to find on it is "QIC 150" - it's a 150 meg tape unit. Anyway, I'd imagine I need some sort of driver software to make the tape drive work with my Mac. Can anyone clue me in as to whether hooking it up is feasible/easy-to-do? Thanks.
