I have the chance to buy a new DESKwriter for a good price.  The font set
is seperate.  Since I haven't seen/used one of these on a Mac, have a Mac Plus,
I was wondering if anyone knew what I needed.

My basic question is:  Do I need these fonts? 
Are they software or some hardware cartridges?  
If I need them, should I get the whole set or what?
Anything else I should know?

P.S.  I can get a DESKwriter for the LASERwriter price.  I'm assuming the
      DESKwriter is the better choice???
