In January I purchased the Claris $49 upgrade to HC 2.0v2. This entitles me to a free upgrade to HC 2.1. Well, Apple's System 7.0 upgrade is $99 and includes 7.0 software, documentation and HC 2.1. Since the software itself can be downloaded for free, and I am already entitled to HC 2.1 for free, I would be paying $99 for documentation only. Apple is also selling a 5-pack of documentation for $249, which is roughly $50 per set. So as I can see it, I am either going to have to pay $99 or find 4 other people to go in on a 5-pack. I think it is unfair of Apple to overlook those of us who bought HC 2.0v2 legitimately from Claris. *** end of complaining *** *********************************************************************** Robin Goldstone, Systems Software Specialist California State University, Chico Computing Services rgoldstone@oavax.csuchico.edu
