Can some of you expert on Mac help me out on this one?  I have been trying
to figure out how to fix this problem for the longest time.  I give up!!

Anyway, here's the problem.

This is the hardware we have:

Mac IIfx (update from Mac II)
Ethernet card.
NCSA Telnet 2.2.3
System 6.0.7


Here's the problem:

Every time when I fire up NCSA Telnet, I get the following message:

Network Initialization Failed!
Couldn't open driver [E]

And after I click on the error message box, the program exited.


Now, this started to happen when we were trying to switch to system 7.0.1
It worked before.  Can someone tell me what's wrong with it?  And how to
fix it?  I even switch back to System 6.0.7 and still wouldn't work.
