If I edit one of the two existing fmaps everything works fine. For instance, I changed the first one [TEXTttxt] to [TEXTALFA]. BUT, if I insert a new string (making sure to leave the last 4 bytes as zeros) there are problems. When I restart my machine, the little disk w/question mark pops up, telling me I have no valid startup disk. When I go back and edit the finder and remove the string I inserted, everything works fine again. Are we limited to only 2 fmap strings? Or am I screwing up somewhere? +---------------------------+------------------------------------------------+ | Ken Kirksey | "Any government that robs Peter to pay Paul | | Computer Engineering | can always count on the support of Paul" | | Auburn University | | | kkirksey@eng.auburn.edu | -Robert A.
