I simply backed up the old stuff, slipped in the disk, ran the compatibility checker, ignored all the bad stuff it said, ran the installer, and it's been running fine since. No problems so far. The ballons ARE silly after a while (I don't normally load HELP files on my hard disk for any application, so why should I use Balloons?). For some reason (personal impression only), the Multifinder action seems to work "better" now than before. I used to occasionally get a crash under 6.0.5, but I haven't so far under Sys 7.0. I've got some stuff on my desktop aliased, labelled, some shown by Icon, some shown by kind (I like this one). In short, so far I like it. I don't notice any slow down, but then I don't do too much "power" stuff. I did have to shut down Word and MacTerminal so I could run a Director show but that is because I "only" have 4 meg.
