I think I have found the culprit. If I boot without SuperBoomerang 2.0.3, I cannot reproduce this effect. If I boot with SB, I can get the effect, even if SB is turned off. I also discovered that I cannot get the effect consistently unless another application's window is in the background. I like System 7 and SuperBoomerang a lot. Is there any danger in using SB with System 7?
