(Thanks to Philip Machanick (philip@pescadero.stanford.edu), Doc (oleary@ux.acs.umn.edu), Matt (MKH6317@ZEUS.TAMU.EDU), and Thomas Lunde .) If I understand correctly, the keyboard command is command-uparrow, which can be combined with option to close the current directory. The mouse equivalent involves holding down the command key whilst clicking on the title bar, which yields a popup menu similar that in the file-get and file-save windows found in applications. proteus@medisg.Stanford.EDU (Gregg L. Kasten) replied that he had found a way to use Resedit and alter System 6.0.5 that a double-click in a window's titlebar opens the window's parent. He didn't remember exactly what he had done, though. If anyone knows how to do this, I'd love to hear from you. Again, I'll summarize whatever I find out. Thanks!
