We've got an InterFax 24/96 running v1.2.3 of the software under
System 7.0 Golden (Mac LC 4/105 640x480x16).

I know it's not supposed to work, but it DOES !!!  The Abaton
INIT/CDEV upgrade to 1.2.3 is available from the Everex BBS (sorry, don't
have the number off hand).

NOTE:  V1.2.3 is NOT the System 7.0 version, I never tried it under 7.0b4
so I'm not sure if the Golden magically solved the problems ???  Or maybe
it's simply not 32bit clean.
