I installed an old init into the extensions folder and when I restarted, the thing crashed, so I restarted and held down shift to stop all the extensions from loading up and got the "All Extensions turned off" (or whatever) message but when I tried using the menus in the finder, Nothing worked ! None of the Apple menu items were brought up, copy, paste etc didn't work. So I removed the offending init and tried to restart from the Special menu but again, nothing happened - I selected it from the menu and the mac just sat there and looked back at me ! SO I had to use the restart button on the side. Any thoughts ? THis is my config: Mac SE 2/20 System 7 Extended keyboard (not that that's really important :)) and a shift button :) Dave. -- ----- Dave G.
