I also installed Gatekeeper, Gatekeeper Aid, QuickKey and Disinfectant. The system software takes up just over 1MB of RAM, and whenever I try to run Word 4.0 or Hypercard 2.0 (which like 1MB) I get a message - " requires to run. is available. Do you wish to open with the available memory?" It is safe to open the app, I have found, but If I try to open the chooser while I've got a document open, or another window, then I get the low memory message suggesting I lose other windows first. Then when I exit from the application, I have found that there is less ram to use than before I opened the application. Why does this happen? If I get another Mb or 2 of RAM will this ease my "Ram Cram Blues"? Thanks, James C. McPherson internet: jcm@vulcan.anu.edu.au "Real programmers do accounting (if they do it at all) in FORTRAN.
