The server has a tape-drive (built in), and after much struggling we were able to reboot off backup tapes. However the workstation (without a tape drive) does not come back up. We were told (by MIPS service) that we could boot off the server using the ethernet connection. Unfortunately we have not been able to get the damn thing going. Request to kind souls out there: 1) can you please e-mail/post the procedure for booting off ethernet ? since the server went down too, we are apprehensive that the ethernet set-up might be screwed too. so, if possible, please tell me how the server should be set up too. Thanking you in anticipation, Ramani Duraiswami
