I have successfully compiled gnutar with and without the st stuff. I can tar a single set over the network, but I can't add anything to that set. It doesn't seem to matter if I use the version with the STIOCTLOPS or not. The question is does anyone know if the 8mm drive supports the STIOCTLOPs? or am I out of luck.
