Message-ID: <1991May23.034208.3453@melba.bby.oz.au> Date: 23 May 91 03:42:08 GMT Article-I.D.: melba.1991May23.034208.3453 Sender: usenet@melba.bby.oz.au (news READER id) Organization: Burdett, Buckeridge and Young Ltd. Lines: 17 Nntp-Posting-Host: leo-gw We are considering purchasing the Motif source simply to compile it and use it on our in-house systems. The upfront cost of $1000US is fine, but the yearly maintainence of $1,500US (and that won't even get you Motif 1.2 when it is released) seems pretty steep. I am after some feedback on whether the support is worth it; whether there are enough bugs and updates that the support makes sense (rather than just buying a copy of the latest version every 12 months and saving $500US a year). Mail me your thoughts and I'll summarize (anonymously if you prefer!)
