Message-ID: <16194@darkstar.ucsc.edu> Date: 25 May 91 03:08:44 GMT Sender: usenet@darkstar.ucsc.edu Distribution: usa Organization: University of California, Santa Cruz; Open Access Computing Lines: 21 I am interested in taking *.xbm files and 'painting' them onto the screen. This is for an implementation of backgammon for the Sparcs running under X11R4 with OSF Motif 1.1. I would be using this painting to put a bitmap of the game board, created offline, onto the game window. The pieces would be place in a similar fashion. If anyone has, or knows of, a routine that can do this, I would greatly appreciate it. I checked the .FAQ, and it did not have anything on this particular subject. Note: I do not need the actual bitmap to be manipulated, just 'painted' statically on the screen in the game window. Thanks in advance. +-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------+ | Andy Harris | Remember: "No matter where you go... | | king@ucscb.ucsc.edu | ...There you are" - B.B. | +-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------+
