Has anyone had a chance to do some serious A:B comparisons between
the Acoustic Energy AE-1 and Proac Response-1 speakers?

I've never been able to find a dealer who handles both, so have only
heard them weeks apart.  My (distant) memory is that
the AE-1's seemed somewhat more forward and brilliant, the Response-1's
somewhat smoother and less abrasive.  Any insights, subjective or
otherwise...?
