Does static electricity affect magnetic media?  Is there a chance for
dropouts or other loss of magnetic coding as a result of being subjected
to static electricity?  Would the size of the static potential matter?
(a spark from shuffling across a carpet compared to a van DeGraff generator
compared to combing your hair)
