In reply to Bird Rendell's message regarding what he heard at the first meeting
of the National Leather Association (that ORAL SEX IS SAFE AGAIN):
I think that previous messages received today on this list have already clearly
refuted this claim. I was not at this meeting, but since the night before I was
chosen as Mr. Boston Leather, I hope to attend meetings in the future.
I fear that Alan Chiras' claims are irresponsible especially because this is
exactly what people want to hear right now. I see so many guys edging away from
safe sex and this is just the ammunition they need! I get so angry when I hear
things like this because of the trend I see lately (how many times have we all
heard: "It's OK--I'm negative"!!?
It's my hope that as Mr. Boston Leather I can encourage more people to continue
playing safe, and NOT spread false hopes about what is "SAFE"!
And yes, I will have a word with Alan about this tonight.

I hope to see many of you in Chicago for "International Mr. Leather"!
